iMoney
Free guide for companies raising capital

The data room is the one thing you fully control that shortens a raise.

Investors read a messy data room as a preview of how the business is run. Every missing document adds a week of back-and-forth. Every number that doesn't reconcile costs credibility you won't get back.

The full guide includes:

  • A tickable checklist of every document, folder by folder
  • Sector add-ons for clean energy, precision medicine and healthcare
  • What to share at each stage, and naming and version standards
  • An eight-point readiness self-check

Four mistakes that slow a raise

Figures differ between the deck, model and cap table

Why it hurts: investors stop trusting every number. Fix: reconcile all four before upload, with one source of truth.

A broken model: #REF errors and hard-coded totals

Why it hurts: the valuation can't be defended. Fix: rebuild links and label every input.

Cap table missing SAFEs, options or convertibles

Why it hurts: investors can't work out what they're buying. Fix: show fully diluted ownership, with conversion modelled.

Undisclosed ATO debt, related-party loans or disputes

Why it hurts: found late, they can kill the deal. Fix: disclose early, with a note explaining the position.
